About

Towards Peace is a cross-cultural printmaking initiative taking place in Da Nang and Dien Ban from July 7–26, 2025. Through four free 5-day workshops, the project brings together participants from diverse backgrounds to explore reconciliation, healing, and cultural exchange. Rooted in the traditional Dong Ho woodcut technique, the workshops aim to reconnect with Vietnam’s artistic heritage while embracing contemporary expression.

The project is led by Dr. Sasi Victoire, an acclaimed artist, writer, and educator with over 45 years of experience in the Australian arts scene. Alongside Elizabeth Hunter, a master printmaker with a deep history of working with Indigenous and international communities, Sasi will guide participants through a hands-on journey in collaborative printmaking and creative dialogue.

It will culminate in a public exhibition in Da Nang in early August, celebrating shared stories and a collective hope for peace.
